Three systems for three different openings. All of them accelerate the flow of traffic and minimise dust, air exchange and energy loss with automatic modules and optional sensors.
All three systems share the same purpose: move traffic quickly and keep the building envelope closed the rest of the time. What separates them is the space available around the opening and whether the door has to hold a temperature difference.
| System | Best for | Space needed | Insulation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Folding | Medium to wide factory openings, forklift routes | Stacks above the opening | Standard |
| Rolling | Narrow openings, loading bays, internal partitions | Least side and head room | Standard |
| Insulated spiral | Parking garages, cold stores, chilled areas | Coils above the opening | Insulated leaf |
If you are not sure, send us the clear width, clear height and what is on each side of the opening. We will tell you which of the three fits and why.
Each system is produced to the project dimensions in our own factory. Technical drawings, specifications and colour charts are on each product page.
Entrance and exit of vehicles and construction machines is controlled automatically. A metal-sensing sensor can be added so the vehicle itself triggers the door.
The door closes automatically a set number of seconds after opening, so the envelope is not left open by habit.
If any object passes underneath during closing, the door stops and rises automatically.
Control panels, LOOP metal mass detectors, card access systems, motion detection radar and dry contact modules.
The questions we are asked most often about high speed fabric doors.
Rolling doors are applied to smaller spaces than folding doors. Both accelerate traffic and reduce dust, air circulation and energy loss; the rolling mechanism simply needs less room around the opening.
The standard equipment of high speed PVC fabric doors is the tarpaulin, motor, control card, side guides and upper mechanism.
The production of one high speed door is approximately 10 days. This period varies with the intensity of the project.
No. High speed fabric doors are fast and provide unlimited working during the day.
Yes. By optionally adding a metal-sensing sensor, opening and closing is triggered by the approaching vehicle. LOOP detectors, card access, motion radar and dry contact modules are also supported.
These doors are produced to special dimensions, so the price varies according to the size and project. Standard pricing cannot be given due to special production, location differences and multiple options.
Clear width, clear height, what is on each side, and whether a temperature difference has to be held. That is enough for a recommendation and a quotation.
